Noosa beaches

Noosa beaches are very well known all over the world for being great beaches for surfing and we have a massive surf culture here. Our beaches here include Noosa Main Beach, Sunshine Beach, Sunrise Beach, Peregian Beach, Marcus Beach, Castaways Beach, Coolum Beach and extend onto the beaches from Alexandria Bay, Granite Bay and Tea Tree Bay and the First Point and Johnsons beaches from Noosa Head. Some of these beaches are awesome for surfing while others are great for swimming. Some are North facing and some are East facing so there is always somewhere to go to get out of the wind. All of our beaches and rivers offer nice places to walk along the shore, through the National Park and along the river. Some of the beaches have parking although this can be quiet congested during the busier months. Patience is required or you might be better off parking a little further away and catching one of the many busses that drop at the start of Hasting Street. We have showers, and telephones facilities and some of our beaches are even dog friendly. Please be pet responsible and make sure to bring along doggy bags and place in the bins provided. Swimming is not usually recommended in unsupervised areas. There are a number of cafes, restaurants and even shops in these areas overlooking the beach. Noosa Visitor Information

Noosa is called the Lifestyle Capital of Australia. It is the most northerly and most renowned holiday destination and fast becoming one of the most popular wedding photography locations on the Sunshine Coast. Noosa's famous Hastings Street tempts visitors with cosmopolitan restaurants, chic sidewalk cafés and speciality designer boutiques, servicing the numerous luxury resorts and family holiday beachfront apartments. Unlike the Gold Coast, all developments here are low-rise, so much of Noosa's attraction is its natural beauty and relaxed informal atmosphere.

Visitors to Noosa have the choice of lazing on the beach, sailing, sailboarding, swimming, strolling along the scenic shoreline or fishing – either in the ocean or the clear waters of the Noosa River. For nature-lovers, the main attraction of Noosa is the nearness of Noosa National Park, the Teewah coloured sands and the natural wonderland of the Noosa Everglades in the Cooloola National Park.
