Beach Wedding Photography and Wedding Ceremony Locations - Noosa, Sunshine Coast & Hinterland

If you are picturing your wedding being held on one of the many beautiful beaches dotted along Noosa and the Sunshine Coast, make sure you seek the advice of a professional and experienced beach wedding photographer. The lighting can be very difficult with the sun shining on the white sand and the reflections from the water. Lindy Photography has many years experience photographing weddings all over the Sunshine Coast and can advise you on the best times and locations to capture stunning wedding images that you will always treasure. Below is a map of some of Noosa's most popular wedding ceremony locations. Beach access 12 and 13 are located away from the busier spots on the far side of Claude Batten Drive car park and accessible by a boardwalk and sandy tracks. Laguna Grove, Hidden Grove, Casuarina Gardens and Maison La Plage Grove are the most popular locations and you will require a permit through Noosa council to marry in any of these areas. It is advisable to book well in advance to avoid disappointment.  Noosa Woods offers some quieter locations overlooking the Noosa River and the Noosa Spit and Little Cove are also stunning options for smaller wedding groups.

Suitable for up to 100 guests. Hidden Grove sits at the end of Hasting Street and overlooks Noosa Main Beach. It is one of the most popular wedding ceremony locations and books out months in advance. Suitable for up to 100 guests and slightly more tucked away from view of passing by foot traffic. Can be slightly windy in the months of August to September but you really can't beat the view of the ocean.

Suitable for up to 60 guests. For couples wanting to hold their wedding ceremony on the sand, Noosa council only allows these to be held further up the beach away from the main wedding ceremony areas. From Beach Access 12 there are many locations to hold your wedding ceremony looking back to the headland at Noosa or facing toward the Noosa North Shore.

Maison la plage grove

Suitable for up to 200 guests. Maison La Plage Grove offers a beautiful grassy area with the sea in the background and is a little more protected from the wind. You can also have your ceremony facing back towards Noosa Hill. Maison is the first wedding ceremony location that you come to when walking along the boardwalk, making it very handy to all of Noosa's most popular reception venues such as Seasons Restaurant, Bistro C, Boardwalk Bistro and Sails Restaurant.

Please always check with local councils for permits and regulations. Many of these wedding ceremony locations are very popular and offer either 2 or 3 hour permits. These time slots include set up and pack down times for decorators and guests are asked to move on once ceremonies are completed to allow access to these ares to other service providers. We appreciate your co-operation.

One of my favourite spots for Elopements and Smaller Weddings is beach access 13/14. These two spots are just past the car park on Claude Batten Drive and overlook the beach. The pedestrian path ends at the car park so less foot traffic ventures up this way.

Little Cove is also lovely but keep in mind that parking is almost impossible and it's often easier just to walk along the boardwalk from Sails Restaurant.

Coolum Beach also has some gorgeous wedding ceremony spots from standing on the beach at First Cove to the hill at Point Arkwright and Andrew Street Park at Point Arkwright. There is also a number of decks overlooking the ocean and a few grassed areas that are great for larger weddings high up on the cliff just off Andrew Street. For a small wedding in a secret little spot drive to the end of Jubilee Esplanade and follow the track to a little deck on the edge of the cliff.

Sunshine Beach is one of my fave overall locations. It offers some of the best ocean view wedding ceremony locations and a fantastic range of locations to capture a variety of awesome wedding images. You can marry on the lawn beside the Sunshine Beach Surf Club or choose any location along the coast with white sand beneath your feet and the blue of the ocean as your backdrop. This stretch of Coast runs for miles and leads onto Sunrise Beach, Castaways Beach, Marcus Beach, Peregian Beach and then continues on through Coolum Beach, Marcoola and Mudjimba Beach. Head over the Sunshine Motorway and cross the river to Maroochydore, Mooloolaba then all the way down to Caloundra and it's many gorgeous ceremony location such as Shelly Beach, Moffat Beach, Dicky Beach, Kings Beach and Golden Beach. If the beach is not your scene then hit the Hinterland for a gorgeous county wedding at Cooroy, Eumundi, Yandina, North Arm, Ninderry, Mapelton, Montville and Maleny. Up in the Hinterland you will find some of the most gorgeous wedding ceremony locations including churches and chapels as well as the most amazing scenery to capture stunning wedding images.

There are so many beautiful wedding photography locations throughout the Sunshine Coast. You can choose to have your ceremony beside the waters edge along the Coast or in the middle of a rainforest in the Hinterland. The Sunshine Coast also has some beautiful little wedding Chapels like The Little White Wedding Chapel in Maleny, Annabella at Forest Glen, Tiffany's Wedding Chapel overlooking the Glasshouse Mountains, The House of Laurels, Flaxton Gardens, The Spotted Chook and Secrets on the Lake.

Please always check with local councils for permits and regulations. Many of these wedding ceremony locations are very popular and offer either 2 or 3 hour permits.
