Orland Florida USA Wedding - Amanda & Kenneth
Being asked to travel to Orlando, Florida in the USA to photograph Amanda and Kenneth's wedding would have to be one of the best experiences in my career so far. I was so nervous at the thought traveling over there with all of my cameras and I spent the weeks leading up stressing over being in a completely different location with different lighting but everything just fell into place and it turned out absolutely perfect. Amanda and Ken booked us all into the gorgeous "Grand Bohemian Hotel" in Orlando city and the weather was absolutely perfect! Ken and friends enjoyed their morning by the pool while Amanda headed off for hair and makeup. My trusty assistant and second shooter (aka my daughter Dakota) grabbed Amanda's wedding gown and shoes and ran down the main streets of the city to start with some gown shots. We gathered an audience as lots of people stopped to watch. (probably thinking we were totally mad Australian's). This wedding was a little different in that we decided to do the main photos before the wedding ceremony so as not to interrupt Ken and Amanda's time with their guests. Once my Bride and Groom were ready we headed off on foot through Orlando and made our way to "Ceviche Taps Bar"on Church Street stopping for photos at a few different locations. I would love to have had some behind the scene shots to show you what these locations looked like. I stood on train tracks, climbed stairs, shot over the heads of people and the whole time we had people watching on and smiling and laughing. It was seriously a lot of fun. Amanda and Ken wedding ceremony was held inside "Ceviche"

Thanks ever so much to Amanda and Ken for allowing me the opportunity to travel to the USA to photograph their destination wedding and for placing their trust in me. It was seriously the best experience ever and we had such a fun time. I will be blogging some of our travel pics which included destinations such as Seattle, Everette and hikes to Lake 22 and Heather Lake, Banff and Lake Louise in Canada, Orlando Florida and New York. A great big thanks to Dakota for all of your help with planning this trip and second shooting :-)
